to get it done this month and hopefully get it posted this month. And then yeah, we'll be done. 77 episodes, man, and we've recorded. we'll see where life or podcast life takes us. But anyways, man, how you been real quick before we get started? Absolutely, man. You know what? Been doing real good. We're at the end of summer. Can't believe the year's flown by and but you know what? Let's finish out the year strong and go from there.
Sure, for sure. All right, brother. Well, I don't have the synopsis today, man, but you got it. Go ahead and read it. Get it started, man. Absolutely. Episode 14, Strike the Last. The action heats up as the Valley's top fighters pit their courage against their rivals, speed and strength. But one last surprise changes everything. That's crazy. You know, because I hadn't even read the synopsis, but it's crazy to me because what's that last surprise that changes everything? I know, right? No, seriously. What do think it is?
I'm thinking it's the ending. But how does that change everything? True. Good point. Yeah, it is kind of cryptic then in a way. now that you put it into perspective. Well, now that I've looked at the synopsis, because again, you know, when we're watching the episodes, we don't read the synopsis, right? we're watching the episodes, we it goes right after, you know, it goes right into the other, right? Especially at the beginning, when a furnace comes out, we're watching it and we'll watch all 10, you know, and so
A.C. Cristales (:looking at that, like, what's the one surprise that changes everything? I guess it is. It's going to be. Crease silver, but what did that really change? I don't know. Yeah, it's crazy. We're to talk about it I have some stuff to say about the ending. No, no. Yeah, we're going to talk about it. Let's get into that. So we always start then with, we may be a little rusty because it's been a couple, a couple of months since we recorded.
But yeah, three things we like, man. So let's just go ahead and get into that three things you like about the episode. Absolutely. I put the training montages. OK, like the way they were choreographed. MFD and we're definitely going to discuss what MFD is. no, I'm not. You want you want me to go ahead and say it now? No, go. OK, Miguel, fucking D. yeah, yeah, for sure. OK, yeah, yeah, yeah. And go all in. OK, for sure. OK, cool, cool, cool.
Well, three things that I liked MFD. That's cool. A acronym there. I like entourage. Yeah. The connections to entourage and we'll get to that. Miguel Johnny. Just a dynamic. I like it. was a he's going old school, man. I like this. Miguel Johnny dynamic. then your Cobra Kai. I like that. Your Cobra Kai. Yeah. All right, man. Three things you disliked. I always say hated. So you can go dislike.
I'll go just like, yeah, hate's a strong word, but hey, I know what I know what you mean. TMI. Okay. Okay. Silver's insurance policy. And I put the ending, but it's I'll, we'll discuss it when we get there. I'll give it more context. Okay. Kind of like things. Yes. Okay. So I have chosen taking the back seat. Okay. I think he could have been involved a little bit more, at least in the training too, you know, I took, I put, I took.
Excuse me. There it is. There's Russ. I put Tori and Zara the fight. I didn't really like it. I like I know I didn't really like it. I thought I was very one sided and we'll talk about it. Yes, me. Right. It's my opinion. And then the ending as well. I didn't like the end. And I was very cheesy. I'm already I'm already talking about it. We'll get to it. We'll get to it. Absolutely. All right, brother. We'll go ahead and get it started, man. Yeah. Okay. I'm going to go ahead and start with the intro. Daniel and Johnny.
A.C. Cristales (:And this is stuff they're writing, of course, in Anteno in the yellow 1947 Ford. And you pointed this out previously that it gave you entourage vibes because, you see the camera showing different businesses and in Los Angeles and like the music, like the feel. It's the alt-raised music. It's the alt-raised song. Is it? It's the alt-raised intro song. Oh, man, I didn't even catch that. I thought it was I guess because I you know, what resonates with me is the yeah.
the fifth
Yeah, but definitely you pointed that out previously and I just love the way they filmed it they shot it and everything and You know, like I said, they're cruising they're chilling Daniel and Johnny and you know Excuse me see the rust Okay. Yeah, so Johnny points out that they missed the turn, you know Daniel tells him that they're not going to Miyagi-Do Totally surprises him but he takes him back to the Cobra Kai dojo the you know, the original from season one
And you know, Daniel quickly, you know, tells him, he negotiated with Sarkarian, gave him a good rate and his name. you know, Daniel explains because he's Cobra Kai again. you know, that's the best way to train Tori and Miguel for the finals. you know, Daniel also kind of shares a little, you know, little history saying that, you know, that Staddle Karate will exist. It brought visceral emotions when he first saw the logo. But
You know, even though he doesn't believe in it, he believes in Johnny. That's cool. Yeah. That's BA. put down that's BA. And, know, Johnny has some doubts, man, that, know, what after what Creason Silver did to Cobra Kai and, you know, Daniel told him, if you lead kind of encouraging him, inspiring him, like if you lead Tori and Miguel to victory, it'll be your Cobra Kai and they'll be Psyche champions. They'll be Psyche, Tyche champions. And that's what it'll be what it'll be remembered, what it'll be known for.
A.C. Cristales (:So kind of a clean slate start stand up from Daniel. You know, so it's just a good scene. You know, their scenes are always good and they have good chemistry ever since the movie. Yeah, it was good. Obviously I had that scene down as well because of the entourage music. I just love it. You know, just knowing that it connected and just seeing the cool things of L.A. So you saw Fatsal, Fats Barger, Arts Deli, Mel's driving, Casa Vega.
A.C. Cristales (:that seed was planted at the beginning of season six with Stingray that, you know, Johnny had to get Cobra Kai back. And so now Cobra Kai's back. And so to be able go back to the Dojo where it all started was pretty cool. And for me, man, it was cool seeing that Johnny looks happy. So he finally looks happy. So that's why I put down as well. And then, yeah, he's like, is that a yes? And he's like, it's a hell yes. Hell yes.
and they bow so I think I'm gonna start bowing every time I see you dog we gotta start bowing when I see you man anyways man I'm gonna go to the next scene dude I just put Silvers pissed yeah so he's pissed I like what he does they think they can pull this son at the 11th hour they lost this thing was over but wolf wolf is pretty confident right he's like this title is still ours yeah and then we see Sara you know she's training she's kicking ass we see Axel but he's holding back you know and so that pisses off wolf he was like what was that and he's like it's a point
And he says, I like what he said though, a point that your opponent can now recover to regain when you could have ended the fight for good. And then he says, I don't want to win that way. And so here's my thing. First, first thing that I want to talk about it's Axel was weak, man. Think about it. I think Axel was a very weak villain. would've wanted him to be, to be just a little bit more bad-ass. What do you think about that? Yeah. I mean, I put down, I had that scene down as well.
I put that he was holding back kind of like Tommy Lee and best of the best. Yeah, you know, it was similar to that. But yeah, he was a good guy. Yeah, this guy's supposed to be the villain. He's supposed to be the one right. And Miguel's afraid of and so I didn't like it for that because I get I get his dilemma. His dilemma is not wanting to win that way. But I would have wanted him to be a little bit more badass. You know, if he's if he's built like this Drago character, I want him to be badass like Drago, you know, so.
A.C. Cristales (:or have empathy out of concern for Samantha. So that was pretty cool. So Silver jumps in, right? Saying, I, you know, you know, I see the way you look at her. So, but I thought about women, can legs, you know, accesses. I don't know, man. I don't know. I don't know. So look me in the eye. Does this girl mean more to you than victory? And then actually looks like he's going to cry. You know, I didn't, again, I'm going back to that point. I didn't like that. This is the villain. This is, this is the big Goliath that Miguel has to take down.
And he's already looking weak, man. So I don't know if they did that. was thinking about it when I was watching it. If the writers did that to make it credible that, you know, Miguel could win. What do you think? Yeah, I mean, that's kind of I think where they were going is like. Even though he's supposed to be this big villain, I guess they wanted to show a good side of him or that he wasn't fully on board and. But I don't know, I just.
Like I kind of agree with you. It kind of didn't mesh well, you know, you're either it either badass or you're not. Yeah. Yeah, exactly. You're the villain or you're not. I get the change and I'm going to get to when they actually fight. But I don't know. Maybe it's for Wolf to drop some nuggets because he's like, you know, does this girl mean more to you than victory? Because if the answer is yes, you've already lost. Wolf is killing it right there. Yeah. And then he says that we do not seek the approval of the weak.
they should fear you and if they don't make them so you know wolf is bringing some tight some type stuff. Yeah. Anyways, I like it dude. That's why I put that scene because again, I know I'm ragging on Axel being weak, but I guess I like it more for wolf. What about you? Wolf brought the intensity on that one for sure. And I kind of put like to him it
based on what he said, was like, winning is like secondary. It seems like, you know, making your opponent fear you is his primary. Which will lead to victory. Yeah, which will lead to victory. Exactly. So yeah, Wolf killed it. Yeah. Axel kind of holding back hesitating. don't know. Doesn't seem right, but yeah, we'll get to the fight too, because that's where it really stands out. All right. What you got next? It's a kind of a quick scene before the training montages. So I'm just going back to the Cobra Kai dojo.
A.C. Cristales (:And this is, know, Johnny right there with Miguel and Tory. He's kind of giving them the speech about this is where it all started, know, reflecting saying, Diaz, was your first student or Diaz, you were my first student and Tory, I was your first sensei. And, you know, he just kind of pours his heart a little bit saying, you know, I taught you the style of karate that was taught to me. And even though there's been a lot of BS since then, it doesn't matter because they're still cold Raki.
Tomorrow they're show the world how we strike harder that nobody strikes harder than that Yeah, then nobody strikes harder than us and you know, let's show these international a holes They do things in the valley So I just put Johnny reflecting and being ready to move forward kind of overcoming what has occurred in the past with the whole crease and silver and that Cobra Kai so I just mainly took it for that just kind of spotlight Johnny
Yeah. And it was cool because that leads into the training montage. So I had that right. That leads into the training montage, the pitching machine, laying some wood and then, the training switches between dojos, which was cool. Yeah. But I do think that it could have been longer. So the training montage, I wanted it to be a little longer, man. So, what about you with the training? I was really happy with it. yeah, I was because, know, like I said, it's the way they were choreographed and you know, it showed all of their strengths and you know, you got
Axel and Bo Zara break the Bo staffs. And then, know, you got Johnny, I'm not Johnny Miguel and Tory, you know, breaking the wood block. Yeah. Was that what they are? The wood slates or the wood and doing the pushups on their knuckles. I don't know. I think I wanted it longer for some reason. Yeah. All right. But then it leads us into a great scene. scene. scene. Johnny Miguel, they're outside the convenience store and they're sitting down.
they're sitting down like the first time in season one. Remember when he's telling him the story about Ali? Yep. And in Dutch, throwing out with the milk does and all that. The radio. Oh yeah. When they met. Yeah. With the milk does. Yeah. So he just took it back to that. I love it. I love that shot. There's actually a still image of that. And so anyways, Miguel's not hungry. He doesn't want to eat, you know, Johnny says pretty fine jitters, but I love this man. Miguel's just like, look, I want to events, basically events, right? Robbie. So he's having Robbie's back. And then
A.C. Cristales (:Johnny opens up and I like the way he opens up. He's like, look, man, I get it. But you can't go into this fight thinking like that. I should know I go into every fight thinking like that. You know, you always have this chip on your shoulder type of feeling or you're always trying to get back at people. And so that's how I took it. Right. And he said, and now I like that they broke the down because Johnny should have never lost in 84. Not to know punk, punk LaRusso. Right. And he says it's also how I lost to LaRusso in 84. I was a way better fighter. Damn right. He was, dude.
was a two-time champ. Yeah. He was a way better fighter than everybody was, but you know, he said he only trained for six, six weeks and I should have destroyed him. So true. So I love that, you know, just them bringing it back because yeah, there was no way that Daniel should have won. But like what he said, I was too hell bent on revenge for all that shit he pulled. Even though I pulled a lot of shit on him too. He didn't fight for revenge. He fought to honor everything he learned. So that was cool, man. Because again, I think sometimes when you're going out for revenge, like
It clouds your judgment, right? You're you get too, too hype, too intense. so you just got to you just got to go out there and do what you know what to do. Right. So I think Sinatra and I got him up here. Sinatra gets credited a lot for this, but he says the best forms of revenge is success. Yep. You know, and so whether he said it or not, right. It's true. You want to you want to get back at people, just succeed, you know, because there it is. You know, I think when we when we go and we try to, you know,
I guess, get back at people in a negative way kind of backfires. And so I think that's what Johnny's trying to say. Like, look, it can backfire you if you're fighting for that, if you're fighting just to get back at them. So fight for honor. So I liked that, man, you know, and so he said he fought to honor everything you learned to show guys like me, we couldn't get the best of him. And so Miguel was like, understood. I'm going to fight to honor everything you taught me. So that's cool. Right. Because Miguel's like, you know, yeah, now I want to honor you seeing perspective. Yeah. I want to honor you. And it's sort of that blood sport type stuff too. Right.
the
A.C. Cristales (:Bad eyes, you get chills just thinking about it, man. You heard this, you understand, got it. And so I love it, man. That was a great scene, dude. I love it. Yeah. What you got with that? Man, I'm gonna completely agree with you, man. This is another great scene in the line of many great scenes between Johnny and Miguel. And you know what? I put growth from Johnny because he saw the path he went down by fighting for revenge and he cares so much about Miguel he doesn't want. Because Miguel said he's
He was like, that was his focus. He said, I'm going to get revenge on what he did for Robbie. And Johnny right away is like, you know, fight for yourself. Yeah. You know, you do it for you, you know, exactly. Honor. How much, how far you have gone, you know, because when the day you met, you know, he was wearing Petro Bismol as a hat. So it's a great scene, man. And like I got chills when he tells him, you know, you're Miguel fucking Diaz. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, it was was great scene. You know, this is this is going to go down as one of the. And if we ever do a category type scene between them to this one's up there, you know, just yeah, think that the best one is probably the cheeseburgers. Yeah, cheeseburgers. Yeah, that's that's for me. I think it's the best one. That was great. Brother, where you us next? Yeah, I'm going to Tori and the LaRusso's. OK, so.
So sham sham. I'm sorry. Sam is showing Tory the drum technique and you know, saying it's like a last resort. Tory asks if there's a counter to it. Sam tells her to ask the drum, which is a connection part two. know, Mr. Miyagi told Daniel and you know, this is when Amanda and Daniel show up and you know, Daniel tries to give her some advice about getting some rest because they have, has a big day tomorrow and as they leave, Amanda notices something and asks kind of asked Tory, Hey, is everything okay?
And then Tori just kind of starts reflecting on the first time she came to the Cobra Kai dojo where she sparred with Miguel, became friends with Aisha and of course met Sam at the beach club. You know and then she starts saying that it's been a strange couple of years, the toughest in her life and – but also kind of the best. So it's kind of a little bit of both, bittersweet I guess you could say. And when she thinks about the good parts, you know, it's because of them, the LaRusso's.
A.C. Cristales (:And you know, she kind of lists off how Amanda helped her get back into school, especially after everything that she did to Sam. And how Daniel let her join Miyagi-Do, no questions asked, even though she bailed right before the tournament and to fight for crease. And now Sam's helping her with the advanced moves of Miyagi-Do. Like she kind of gets overwhelmed a little bit, kind of like she wants to cry. She's like, you know, besides her mom, no one has shown her that much kindness.
And she just feels like she doesn't deserve it, you know? So and then Amanda kind of gives her a good quote, good encouragement saying that she took every punch life throughout her and she kept fighting. And that we all make mistakes, which is true, you know? Daniel says it was – and I like – I got to give props to Daniel. This is a pretty good quote here. What he says is what matters is how we're willing to acknowledge those mistakes and move on and that she's done it better than most people, that they both have.
And then Sam right here too also hit gold right here when she says you actually deserve some good in your life. she deserves to win. So it's just a feel good kind of scene rooting for Tory you know and just Amanda and Daniel's quotes stood out for me and Sam's too. Yeah it was a good full circle moment for Tory that's what I put. Yeah. was a full circle for full…
Not that she needed to be redeemed because she was an evil character, but I think it was more of a realization, full circle realization moment that, you know, when we first saw her in season two, she was upset. She was pissed that, these people, these rich people, right? Like people like Sam, they get everything and, know, she has to fight. But yet it's these same people who you used to not like for whatever reason, right? You have these,
these prejudgments about them, but these are the people who have helped you, the people that you least expected. And so I think about grace, you know, sometimes we like, man, we don't deserve it, but that's grace, right? Like, I mean, that is the definition of grace. Like when you get something that you don't deserve. And so she didn't deserve that kindness. And yet they gave it to her, you know, and think about it like this is somebody who hurt their daughter and yet they were still there fighting for her. So I think for her, it's again, that full circle realization that
A.C. Cristales (:Dang, man, like, even though I acted like this, people still, you know, they still help me. so for that, you know, it's a gratefulness, right? Like, wow, what did I do to deserve it? And so and it's kind of like, yeah, you do deserve it, you know, because you fought through a lot of hard things and you're still coming out on top. So I just took it the power of fighting, you know, power fighting for your dreams that whenever you fight for your dreams, like help comes. I think that sometimes we think that.
You know, we have to do it by ourselves, but we don't like there are people who got a place in your life that will help you, you know, reach the next level or just sometimes I even help you reach the next level. Just be there for you in the time where you need somebody to be there. So, you know, again, we look at things deep, but that's what I thought when I was looking at it. I that well said that that's what I put down powerifying for your dreams. And when you do help will come in. So that was cool. But yeah, she definitely deserves some good in her life, man. I thought that was badass and what Daniel said as well. We all make mistakes because that's true.
But what matters is how we're willing to acknowledge those mistakes and how we move on from them. So there's twofold there, brother. So you got to acknowledge it and then you got to be willing to move on from them. Yep. And I think a lot of times we get stuck on one of the two. I'm just going to leave it at that because that's pretty cool. That may have to be my my my quote. I didn't have that, but yeah, I have to be my quote. All right, man. Zara, right. I'm going to go to the next thing. So they get to the fight.
She's on her phone. It's kind of whack, right? But ignore that bullshit. Yep, to keep your head in the game and then I'm gonna skip the whole Caltech instead of MIT. So it's just cutting in between. So now they're at the tournament. They're cutting in between. don't whatever. Yeah, I guess it's kind of I think that was kind of weak that he's gonna give up MIT to go to Caltech. What do you think? You get an opportunity to go to Caltech. I mean to MIT you're gonna go to MIT, you know? True. I mean, but that's looking at it from our perspectives.
his is the character Dimitri. He can afford to do that, I guess. mean, you can still be binary bros for life. You have this opportunity, man. Like, take it. I no. Yeah, I have taken MIT personally. Boston. Yeah. Anyway, we got all that going. And then we see Miguel right in the car. So this all this is turning me, man. So I'll stop and then you can you know what? I'll stop when
A.C. Cristales (:where where Torreza starts the fight. right. OK. So this is so then we so again, I'm skipping the cow tech unless you got something to say about that. No, that was because I was your team. That was my team. didn't like it. TMI MIT. Whatever. we see Miguel's riding a car before the fight of his life. And my thing is like, come on, bro, you're about to fight Axel. You're riding a car. Come on, you need to ignore that bullshit. Keep your head in the game. But he writes a letter and I pause it. Did you know what the low notes that you are?
Octopi my thoughts no dude. It said thank you for always having my back love the actual he actually the actual I wanted to see what he Thank you for always having my back love there are a lot of people in fire for today, but just between us You're my favorite glow always Miguel. I mean, yeah, no, I like it. I was like dang Spotlighting her anyway, so Miguel's just he says look there's no way in hell
silver because they're talking about points right now even if this happens how are we going to get back and Miguel so there's no way in hell we're silver buy himself another title he's right we can close the gap so i'll let Miguel you know as you always say his determination is leadership leadership yeah so yeah man he's got that down yeah and so then wolf we see wolf right before the fight starts he's he's hyping up zara she cannot match your speed or your skill
And don't let her forget how much real estate silver. Yeah. Silver silver ads. Don't let it go. I got that. you can take us to the fight. But what do you want to add with any of that? Yeah. You know what? I just took down the part where, you know, Miguel, you know, displays his leadership saying, you know, they don't want to let silver or buy another type by another title. So, you know, that's not enough.
the
A.C. Cristales (:condescendingly thanks Tori for the slut shaming card that she pulled back in Barcelona that had doubled her followers. know, Tori plays it off kind of like quite an achievement and Zara tells her, Hey, you can play it off all you want. It's always cool right here. Yeah. Yeah. Right. And right now she's doing real great and all you want, but it eats you a lot. Eats you up that no matter what happens, everyone still loves her, you know, loves Zara and they'll never love you kind of that comparison type scene. And,
We see a little short clip of Robbie and Sam and Robbie says don't let her push your buttons, which that's exactly what Zara is doing. You know, I got to give props to Zara here too, even with home field advantage. Yeah, that was cool. The people from your Valley are cheering from me. That was a good line. I'm sorry. So enjoy your last 15 minutes of fame because after it, all you'll be is just another notch on her black belt, kind of like Robbie. So I just put Zara, man, she delivered these.
great lines and basically just following Zilber's instructions, playing mind games, man, getting into her head. And we're going to see that the first round it works because Zara just quickly dominates, man. mean, I think what she scores five points and no response. So I stopped there. So I don't know if you want to stop there because there's some things I want to say about that. OK, I just put that Zara played the bitch part good. Yeah, she really played like she's a bitch. She's a bitch.
Just the stuff that she's saying, man. And so it was funny to me because she played it well. And I like that. I had that as well. But look around home. So that was tight. But yeah, she's getting into her head. She's doing exactly what her sense is telling her to do. And then, you know, what else I noticed, my boy, the doll is a referee. But can we get my boy some sweats? I wasn't wearing a suit. Yeah, like, come on, man. You know what would have been cool?
A.C. Cristales (:train the kids, you know, just I don't know, man. I don't like that again. I get you're getting to the end of the series, but chosen plays such an integral part. And I, know, obviously selfishly, I like chosen, right? And again, so we see the kids, but there's no Bert and I look at that pause. Trust me, man. I was positive. I think his birth. There's no Bert. So there's no Bert Bert thinking no love. I don't think he was in the last five, dude. I don't think he was either. Anyway, so she's baiting her. Zara's baiting Tori and they're like, look, you got to the script and then bam, Robbie.
and
because that music starts and that music that starts that score, that musical score that starts is badass. And so then Tori starts kicking badass. She starts kicking ass. She's got these badass kicks. She's knocking them down. She knocks your teeth out. I know I skipped a lot, but that's pretty much it. And so I'm going to let you talk about it, but I'm just going to say this. I didn't like that it was so... It was rushed. In my opinion, was rushed. Zara's kicking her ass. And then all of a sudden, I love you.
the IP
She kicked her ass. It would have been better back and forth, man. What do you got with that? That's what I meant by the fight. When I said I disliked, I hated. I don't like the Toria Zara thing, the fight. Yeah. I mean, I definitely got that because like I was saying, I felt it was rushed and I just felt like they just did it. They made Zara, like you said, look weak because she just went down so easily.
A.C. Cristales (:You know, and she's supposed to be this B.A. fighter, you know, she was. Yeah. All of sudden, because freaking Tory got kissed. Yeah. And some tongue. That's her power. You know, like power like she hooked up. Yeah. And but I mainly took it for just Tory reaching the summit. You know, no excuses. She like there was in the previous tournament where silver paid off the rough. So I just put she reached the mountaintop. No excuses. She kicked ass. Feel good.
So I took it for that angle, but I definitely, definitely see what you, I agree with you. I got that look and I even wrote that in my notes I put. So she knocks her out, knocks her teeth out, I mean, I guess it's cool. Badass kick though. You know, her kicks are bad. Yeah. And so then she gets her payback. Welcome to the Valley bitch. But I put it on there. Would have liked some back and forth. Yes. Back and forth action. There wasn't even a third round. Let's to the third round. Let's fucking go to the, let's go to the third round.
Let's see a great fight back and forth. makes it a lot better. I'm telling you, I'm going back to to wrestling. I know wrestling scripted, but Cobra Kai is scripted so we could have scripted something better. Right. Right. The best matches you've ever liked are the matches that go back and forth. It's like now they're going overboard, right? Because, you know, people do their finishers and their kick out and then you do that person's finish with a kick out. I know I'm doing a lot of wrestling references. But again, we like that because we're like, oh, damn, who's going to win? And then finally, like I think it would have been a much sweeter, bro, if
is always kicking her ass a little bit in the round three. And then she, she musters up her strength again and then she knocks her teeth out. We could have had something like that, right? No, I totally agree. I, it's kind of the fight kind of lost a little bit of flavor. did. That's just, again, we're being overly critical here. are because it could have been better, man. so Tori just turned into Hulk Hogan again, rest in peace Hulk, right? He didn't sell. Remember it's like when
Undertaker gave Hogan the tombstone and he just got back up. Yeah, like that's what it seemed like. It just he just hooked up and that was it. It's like everybody. It's like they each got around to show their stuff and that's it. And that it sucked. Yeah, it really did. It could have just it could have been better. It could have been better. A little bit more back and forth. Yeah, for sure. That's that's where you know. Yeah, that's where I thought. For sure. Yeah, I didn't like it. All right, so go ahead. Next. OK.
A.C. Cristales (:I think I was going to go to Daniel and silver, but I think we have to at least mention Miguel, the card. Yeah, the card. got to at least mention. Let talk about the card. Yeah. Go ahead and talk about the card because I only you got silver and then outside of intermission. Yeah. So Miguel's got the card. He should be focused on the fight, but he goes in love. You know, that's what happens sometimes. Anyway, so Miguel's with the card and this is where he finds out that Sam is going to study abroad in Okinawa.
And he's kind of, he's kind of shocked by it. And so I just had a question. So let's just talk about how would you have felt if that was you, you you didn't know your girl was going to go to Okinawa or going anywhere and you found out like that. would you have felt? It hurt. Definitely. Why is that? Because man, you would think that there's some trust there. And if that was the direction and if we're in love, it's like Miguel and Sam appeared to be.
should have at least mentioned it. You know, at least said something not at the tournament though. You know what I mean? That's my only thing. You know, after I why even bring the I'm sorry, I got to be critical of Sam here. Why even bring the letter into the tournament? That's just where was it in a person? Yeah. In her jacket, I think was in the yeah. Yeah. Leave it in the car.
Leave it in your room. Leave it in your room. Yeah. Exactly. That's my own critique about it. But that's basically I it was just quick. But that's what I had down. I knew we had to talk about it because we had to talk about it. because you know, it's a couple minutes right before McGill's fight. Exactly. You know, and so obviously it's gonna affect them. And so the reason why I asked that is because I think I would have been taken aback as well. And kind of surprised.
Yeah, surprise is a better word, but hurt. Oh, for sure. For sure. Kind of like what's up? Like it's the trust. Yeah. Circle of trust. Exactly. I'd rather take us to silver and silver and Daniel. So this is, you know, outside the arena or in the common area. And so Daniel approaches silver about the match, tries to relate about underdog. You know, he's criticized. He's critiquing Torian and Zara's match, you know, about it. Not critiquing it, but he's kind of like he said.
A.C. Cristales (:He tries to relate. I'm sorry is the right word. He tries to relate because he's saying, you know, the underdog being down and out, but coming back to win. He's trying to relate to his experience. But Johnny, you know, him being the underdog and stuff and he was talking about the fight like we were. And then silver says congratulations. then, yeah, silver silver being silver, man. He's like, you know, wait, that wasn't your victory.
I got to give him props for the creativity here. He's like, one of your captains got carried off the mat and the other one didn't even show up. I'm sorry. It got to be the creativity for there. And he's like, that's how Miyagi-Do is going to be remembered. And Daniel tells him it's not over yet. And Silver's very confident. He explains that Axle's a machine that he... you skipped the best part though. Which one? Where he said, I'd love to see the look on your son's face if you were alive to see me destroy everything you've worked
Oh, yeah, that's just more that's just more insult to injury. Yeah, that is more insult. Yeah, dang. I totally missed that. I bet I got you. I'm there to pick it up. You fumbled the ball. I'm there to pick it up. Robocop. So Daniel tells him it's not over yet. Silver explains the actual machine. He nominated Keane and he's going to decimate. Yes. And if but let's just say if some miracle he pulls it off, that'll be Cobra Kai on the podium.
the dojo that he thought he killed once and for all. That's got hurt. We get a Danny boy. We get a Danny boy. And then Daniel, of course, says it doesn't hurt at all. And then he comes back, which I was kind of surprised a little bit. He comes back and we said, haven't you heard Cobra Kai never dies? Yeah. I just took it down mainly because I love Silver trying to wind him up because he knows how much Daniel is a hothead. You know what I'm saying?
But you know what? Daniel walked into that because Silver wasn't even doing anything. He was like on his phone or something, right? And Daniel tried to approach him kind of old school Daniel trying to talk some noise, right? Oh, yeah. Okay. Yeah, you're right. You're right about that. And so for me, it's kind of like, okay, now it's convenient for Daniel to cover. Yeah, but it's all good. It works for the story. All right, man. I'm going to go. Salmon McGill. Salmon McGill. So this is my question that I have on
A.C. Cristales (:the
doing the right thing. He's like, you know, I just want what's best for you, which is cool. Yeah. You want what's best for your girl? You know, even if it's not you, that is my line right there. Even if it's not me, I just want you to be happy. So I want to hear all about it. right after I'm done kicking some ass and so they kiss Axel's looking at the axis. He's a, know, and that right there should have pissed them off. And I guess it kind of did. But anyways, it starts to fight. Talk to us about the fight.
Well, actually, I just want to add a comment, a compliment to Miguel. I love his directness, man. He could have easily put that aside and ignore it and try to focus on the fight. And now he's, you know, right away, let's get this out in the open. I already know. Let's talk about it. Well, you like that? Yeah. I mean, I like that he was direct about it. You know, I don't even even right now, like he's about to pull the timing sucks. But then again, it goes back to Sam. Why bring the letter?
You know, I mean, it could go either way, but yeah, I'm not. I'm not. Definitely not. No, no. I guess you know what? I'm not even talking to us because I probably would have said something to because you want to. It's going to be eating at you, right? Yeah, like when somebody says, hey, I got something to tell you, but I'll tell you later. Like, no, you open that freaking can. Let's talk about it right now. Yeah. So that's what I meant. Yeah. He saw it and you know, he's on shit. I got to say.
Yeah, it was gonna probably be right. Yeah, he did Yeah, absolutely what are the seniors? Oh, yeah 17 18 year old. All right, Take us to the fight. So yeah, it's Johnny nervous about the fight nervous about the fight so Johnny get kind of gives Miguel some instructions to kind of savor the moment knock his block off and Kind of Miguel round one. He dominates man. He scores five. Oh, I have old points. He's on fire. He's on fire, you know and
A.C. Cristales (:looking hype looking good. I didn't really have too much on that scene other than that just I like what a what did my boy say flip the switch before he loses the goddamn turn. yeah that was silver silver silver Yeah. And so then wolf okay let me take it over so then wolf starts you know hey you've been traces you could walk with every advantage inside strength speed and skill but axle doesn't act like a killer to me bro so he's had all these training but again going back to what I was saying at the beginning then like
He's not the killer that we want him to be right. And so I will. Well, if it just bringing it again, are you telling me you can't beat a weak nobody from another thing? If you waste this opportunity, everything I've given you will be for nothing. If you let him win, you will be less than nothing. So I put this I need to actually believe that so that when Miguel won, it was that much more badass because already Axel's week. I need to actually be like, yeah, you're right. You know, let me go, you know, knock this guy's ass out.
hat's how life is. That's how:Which is why we're barely recording this glad these last two episodes in August because that's how life is. We're up, we're down. That's how life goes. We all get our ass handed to us sometime. That's badass. And there's going to be more where that came from. I guarantee it. On and off the map. But I've never known anyone who could take a shit, kick it and fight back harder like you. That's time. Love it. Who gives a shit about the score points are for pussies. Love it. Just go out there and give them the best two minutes of karate you got.
everything you learn every lesson, every win, every loss, leave it all on the mat, go all in and then we see the flashback go all in. And he says screw this headband. And this is why I put why I like that this week as yeah, right. He didn't say this through this headband that we can say I took I had a weak headband. Seriously, your Cobra Kai leather, bro. What do you got with that?
A.C. Cristales (:Man, I love that. was cool that I did have that part of the scene down with Johnny and Miguel. And I just love how they incorporated the flashbacks of Miguel throughout the seasons as and then how it resonated into their fight. You know what I mean? Like the moves he used. That's in the next round. is it? I'm sorry. I'm getting ahead. So this is right before that happens. This is what you're talking about. Yeah. Yeah. The only thing that flashes back is when he tells him to go all in.
yes. Yes. I'm sorry. You're absolutely right. It badass quote from Johnny I definitely love that about you know, that's how that's how fights go and that's how life is Yeah Exactly, and I to go all in I I mentioned that in my likes but if I could just go back a little let me just mention this about Axel silver and wolf so this is now they're you know wolf and Silver giving actual advice for the final round
And silver tells him in his face directly in this definitively to Axel. And then Wolf tells him about Miguel spinal injury if targeted correctly. You know, he can re-injure it or something. Axel has some doubts. He has some doubts about the strategy. I don't know if you caught. I got it. Did you? Yeah. And then he kind of looks at silver for like some type of support and backup. And Silver's just got that stare like do as your told.
Silver space and I had to bring that up. But good prep talk, you know, good on both sides. I just loved them both. And love that wolf has been scouting. Yeah, that's true. It's like some, you know, Ben Johnson type coach. He's been scouting man. I got to throw my bears. So, yeah, I like that. But let me go back real quick for Rosa. Cortele, cool. I don't know. Part of the cool. I think so. What is that? No.
Kick his ass like but this is a pathway Well, she I think she said part of it, but I believe it's poor. Well, yeah Yeah, that means part but in slang versions doesn't it mean like kick his ass? thought it's a court a little cooler. Oh I I thought I don't know. don't know. I have to go back to that one Spanish rising on the script you guys can hire us But anyways, man, so yeah, I had that as well what you mentioned about
A.C. Cristales (:His spine has been injured. leaves the sub open with the roundhouse when he pivots. That's cool, bro. Like he knows he knows the strategy, man. So I like that. And he's like, can beat him since he was. What was that? And then he just says, yes, and say, so Wolf wants Miguel crippled, man. Yeah. And then it goes into that fight. So take us into the fight because it's cool. It's cool. You mentioned the flashbacks, but go ahead. Yeah. Yeah. I'll just continue with, you know, I got ahead of myself a little bit. Yeah. But yeah, around three starts and, you know, right away, Miguel gets the upper hand when he
you know, makes Axel bleed. Yeah. Right. And then after that, you know, they go kind of like what we wanted. They go kind of back and forth. Cool. That was cool. Yeah. And then I just love how they incorporated Miguel's flashbacks throughout the season, throughout his fights, the same moves. Yeah. That's what he does against Axel. Yeah. Yeah. He's in the water. That was cool. Exactly. Use your feet, right? Yeah.
When he goes against Robbie in season one and then, you know, when him and Kyler do the flip. Yeah. And then him and Hawk Hawk at the fight at the tournament and then in Coyote Creek. And then when he's standing up to school, man, those facts are good. Yeah, those were all great flashbacks. And you know what? Miguel just dominates. I mean, actual fights and it's good. It's back and forth and back and forth. But Miguel dominates and he beats him with this.
you badass kick. no, let me before I get ahead of myself. You know how you mentioned that Wolf told him to target and when that happened, Wolf pointed it out right away. But yeah, yeah. Yeah. But about the pivot. Yeah. About the pivot. He's about to turn and do the kick. Yeah. He's about to turn and do the kick and actual this. I looked at Sam and just week as that is weak and he held back. He has and ends up losing with, know.
pretty easily. I wanted to put that in my dislikes to be honest, the iron dragons, how they just, I felt like they lost both Zara and Axel lost too easily. but yeah, Miguel wins. He's champ, you know, and then of course you see them on stage, Tori and Miguel champions. Well, you know what I liked? I'm looking at my notes and I got a question for you. Wolf already knew that Axel was going to lose when he held back. Yeah. You see his face. Like he did something with his face where like.
A.C. Cristales (:He just kind of turned away, like, yeah. So anyways, here's my question. Do you think that they made it again? And I mentioned this a couple of months ago, probably about when we started this podcast. Do you think they did that with Axel so that it would make believable them? Because he's very weak. He's weak. Yeah, he's lent some girl against his ass and grow that. And obviously not interested in. yeah. She's an interesting bro. But.
Do you think that's why they did it? So it could make it believable that Miguel could win. I mean, I can see that angle. Yeah. That's Miguel be bad ass. Again, they were going back and forth. Just let them look, man. When you win, you want to fight the very best, right? You want to play the very best to know that, OK, when I want I beat you at your very best, I don't want to win your friggin half in the half in the game or half in the fight, right? I want you at your very best. Don't hold back. Right. Don't hold back. So I can know that, hey, you gave it your best and
And that, so that's what I think they did that with Torrey and Zara and did it, did it right now with Miguel. It's kind of like, and Rocky, is it Rocky too, where Rocky goes to see Apollo in the hospital bit and hospital room and he tells them, yeah, did you give me your best? Yeah, that's true. He would like, it's like Rocky needed that validation for sure, bro, because you want to, you want to beat the very best. It's kind like when teams make it to the super bowl and one of your best player gets hurt.
Like it's crappy, man, because like now I wanted you at 100 percent like, yeah, you get the victory. You still get the W, right? But you wanted to know that, hey, you beat their best. beat the best. Yeah. So that's what I would have liked, man. But Silver was mad dog and axle. Yeah. Tori Tori Nichols and Miguel Diaz win, which is badass. It's badass. It's a great feeling for Cobra Kai fans. Right. Because again, you want happily ever after stories. And then what was says, I'm ashamed to be your sensei. He said you.
I'm ashamed to be your student. But that was Axel's Drago moment, dude. Remember Drago at the end of Rocky IV, where he tells him, bashebya for me. Remember he's like, I'm not your little puppet anymore. Obviously we're saying that, he's speaking Russian. But he said bashebya, like it's for me, I'm finding for me. And so that was Axel's Drago moment. Like I'm out. That was Axel's Wildcats moment. I'm a senior, I'm out. No problem. No problem, bro. So overall dojo for the first time ever ended in a tie.
A.C. Cristales (:Yeah, it was definitely a good twist and that's mainly what I put down is I didn't see it coming but I Love the way it fits into the story because it's gonna feed into the next episode. Yeah, because it's gonna In my opinion, right it's gonna spotlight the main character of the show, which is Johnny Yeah, that's true. That's true, you know, so that that's mainly why I put that down So it's a good twist got to give props to the big three for that is kind of smart. got you know
Dojo's ended in a time but now it's it's up to the protagonist the main stuff There is a round yeah where it's That's cool. Yeah, you know, okay. I'll take it. I'll take it. right. What else you got with that? After that, I'm going to Carmen Johnny. Yeah, yeah and silver. Okay. Yeah, we'll go there. Okay, so you know, this is after all everything that
they've had time to process what's going on now. Johnny's basically gonna have to fight against Wolf. And so he's over there with Carmen and he tells him, you know, are you worried? know, and Carmen's like, no, I know what I signed up for. Yeah. And then of course they're approached by Silver and kind of throws a little condescending word by saying it's just karate. What's the worst that can happen? What's worst that can happen?
Congratulations, Johnny and Carmen on the baby wishes Johnny best of luck, but he adds a little dig, you know, you know, by saying, you know, you didn't expect when you put that gear on back on, you didn't expect it to be all on your shoulders. Did you? And kind of adds a threat in my opinion, man. He said that life is full of unintended consequences and he has that look like, Hey, he's to do something. He's going to do something. That's just silver adding pressure playing mind games. And I just put he
straight up threatens a man. You took it like that? Yeah, yeah, I did. You know, because the way you looked at him that you know, that silver look, I guess I can't replicate it. But if you look at it, you know, you know, I didn't take it like that. Obviously, we know based on the final scene. Yes. Yeah, it's something crazy. In fact, we'll talk about that. Yeah, we're going to talk about that when I first watched it. I was like, man, this is going to dark. But yeah, I had that as well. And so but anyways, silver walks away.
A.C. Cristales (:I think what will piss me off more about that scene is Silver. You know, I hate one day when he was trying to talk to the baby, know, look at the little baby like, dog, don't be touching my little baby, you know? Yeah. I think I would have been more like, yo, congrats little one. Like, but he's playing head games, right? He's trying to be sweet, but he's he's being a jerk too at the same time. But anyways, Johnny says, well, here we go again. Never thought I'd be back on this mat. Oh, Daniel says be my sensei. And then they never asked and then they bow again. I'm telling you, bro, next time I see you, I'm going to bow.
All right, man. So let's go to the act because that's it unless you got something with Daniel and Johnny. No, I just took that down that scene. You know how they're they're helping each other. Yeah, which Yeah, which is cool. After everything, you know, you see that turn. Well, we've seen it before in the seasons, but now it seems to have come to fruition fully in the right direction. And I just took down the I split the last scene into two silver and Dennis and then so we got all of it. Yeah. Let me talk about the. OK.
that
I was like, damn, is silver gonna hurt his family? Like I seriously thought like, is he gonna freaking hurt his family? Like, is this, is this where we're going? Is this how dark we're going? And so he said, get us an insurance policy. And so Dennis is like, know, furniture store is one thing and you sure you want to go there. And that's like, damn, dude, what's he gonna do to Johnny's family? Yeah. And he says, do as I ask him, this yacht's all yours. Get it done. I was like, dude, damn.
That's all was just like, I just remember dude watching it for the first time. And so then Dennis goes and obviously he gets jacked up, gets thrown down and then bam, crease. was crease. Yeah. Stayed home, John. Take us there. Yeah. Talk about silver and Dennis, if you got it. Well, I just, you know, you covered it perfectly and I just want to add, this is why I put, you know, Silver's insurance policy because it's, it just, I mean, yeah, it's dark. It's dark. It They would have really gone with it. They've really gone with it. And it's just the line you don't.
A.C. Cristales (:the
Why is this first thing seems to break the wine bottle as a knife? Maybe he's Maybe. Yeah, because he's been drinking. He's probably on pills on medicine. Yeah. You you're mixing, you know, medicine. He's a B.A. fighter. Yeah. he's mixing, you know, medicine with alcohol. That's it. Yeah. He's not thinking straight. Exactly.
the
and again silver tries to kind of you know get under his skin by saying he rejected you over and over you know you still can't shed that weakness and crease explains crease kind of turns it and says you know what he's a source of weakness a student worthy of my dedication who has surpassed his teacher which is dope true 100 and you know silver again kind of
saying you know what his teacher isn't what he used to be. Yeah. He dissed him because he said that's a low bar. Yeah, that's a low bar. Yeah. And Chris is like, let's find out like he kind of like you know what silver drew the sand the line in the sand is like I'm ready to go. And again, so yeah, he grabs the glass. But again, you make perfect sense of what you were saying about he's drunk and on medication and stuff like that.
A.C. Cristales (:and
So they go back and forth and, you know, they each kind of have the upper hand at some point, but at, the end, see silver on top of them and, you know, crease region for the cigar that he was smoking. the gas fell down. The gas fell down. Yeah. When they were kind of stumbling back and forth and, you know, he throws it as he's saying no mercy or something like that. And the, the, basically we see the ship blow up the boat that they're on just completely blow up.
And it's a good cliffhanger, but it here's why I'm going to explain why I don't like it. It's a good cliffhanger because I didn't see it coming. I'm like, whoa. You think it's a cliffhanger? Well, I expected it to be a cliffhanger, but here's why I dislike it because we never got to mention any of the two characters in the next episode, which is the final episode. We do. get one mention. I don't know. We'll have to discuss. I don't know we're talking about right now. I we're still talking about at the end. Remember Wolf is the word silver.
well, yeah, that. Yeah. But not about what happened. Not about what happened is what I was talking about. So, I mean, I did see some conspiracy theories online. They had they they filmed the last scene. They had filmed another scene. OK. Did you ever hear about that? So they filmed the scene. They have it. It's a deleted scene. OK. I haven't seen any deleted scenes. It's Crease. You want to save it now? We'll talk about it. talk about it.
It's Kreese reaching for the magazine and he's still alive. Oh, OK. No, I see that. creators said that. And I'll send you the link. The creators talked about like John and then talked about how they didn't want to overshadow, you know, the whole thing about Johnny. They didn't. You know, and it's true. Like we would have seen Kreese again. I it was kind of hokey to loud. This guy's still surviving. Yeah, but it was. Remember when they showed the magazines, the magazine, I did see that. Yeah. Well, there was a scene that they actually filmed, but they didn't put it in, obviously. And it's Kreese grabbing that magazine.
A.C. Cristales (:And we Chris is still alive. I would have been hokey. This is hokey as hell. This is cheesy already. I mean, hokey. mean, it's cheesy. But let me mention some things he said. That's how I was supposed to end, John. This is how I was supposed to end, John. You've been finding your whole life. And remember, that's what that's what Chris said when he was fighting. Remember, I've been fighting my whole life and he's fighting Captain Turner, right? Yeah. Yeah. And then so that's what I just put that connection. That's what Chris said. So so is, you know, thinking he has an upper hand on him.
This is how supposed to end. You've been finding your whole life. And then, you know, John grabs whatever the cigar. Right. Yes. The name screams no. And then John screams mercy. Cheesy as hell. That's why I didn't like it. I didn't like it. I like it. Well, did you not like it? Yeah. I mean, I can see the cheesiness in it, but I just because we didn't really get a conclusion on it. OK. Yeah. at least like something mentioned like a to.
people were on the shore right? Yeah or missing or well. Great people, Dennis. No yeah Dennis yeah. I mean I don't think they could have left any clue or anything right because then that would have kind of spoiled Yeah it is kind of bad they didn't do anything with it. Yeah. That's yeah okay. And that that's just my reason. You know what to be honest with you that's what really lowered my my score for this for this episode seriously that the Tories are a fight hacks will be in week.
Yeah. A lot of people because when a lot of people, but I just saw like a week ago because again, we're on those Cobra Kai groups, right? Yeah. And this guy was like, oh, yes. Episode 14 is the best one. And it's good, but it's not the best one. Yeah. What do you think? I will get to right. Yeah. All right, brother. So that's that's the end of it, man. There you go. Let's go. Our category is Gomer Piles. Surprise, surprise, surprise. What you got, I put the ending. Me too. Yeah.
I put creases silver nine. mean, there's no way anybody can survive that. Yeah. Somebody was going to survive it. Is that what you thought? Not in real life. But I mean, this is the story. I mean, you could you could potentially go that route. Yeah. Hell no. Anyways, that was my surprise. This creases over blowing up and dying. All right, man. What's your running back scene? What you got? Favorite scene. Mm hmm. You're Miguel fucking Diaz.
A.C. Cristales (:That's great. You like that? Yeah, I like that one. Well, it was hard to pick as there was a couple that I could have. put the Miguel Axl fight because I'm going to use that other one somewhere else. So the actual fight with Miguel, because I like again, Reese's like he takes that weak headband off. And he gives him the Cobra Kai says your Cobra Kai. So I like that. All right. What scene resonated with you the most? The sea is I put Tori feeling the under under under deserving. OK, yeah. Was that?
just kind of some things that I reflect on in my life, know, moments in my time where. All right. I got the Johnny Miguel talk, the do it for yourself. And so I'm going to talk about it in two, two forms. So do it for yourself for me. You know, I feel like sometimes like I'm doing for others and I'm good with doing for others, but you got to take care of yourself too. And so, but that's just the way I've been conditioned, right? We, you know,
You know, it's like we do stuff for our parents, right? For our mom and for our family. And sometimes we forget about ourselves, but you got to do it for you. And so, and then I look at it as a father, like I want my daughter to do things for herself. And so I'll share this story, bro. You already know my nephew's going to Chicago. Yes. And so I talked to, I was talking to Axel this past week and he said that he asked, he asked AJ like, why are you going? Why are you, why are you wanting to go to DePaul? Why are you going to want to go to Chicago? And my nephew says something, man.
You know, it makes me feel good as an uncle. said, because, you know, I want to see what I'm made of. I want to see, you know, I want to get out of this, you know, the small town and see what I'm made of. That's bad ass too. You know, for my nephew to have that, that mentality. Yeah, dude, isn't that bad? Cause you're doing it for you. You know, you're doing it to find out what you're made of. And so, man, I just told Axel, man, like I'm proud of him and I'm proud of you, you know, cause you obviously.
speaks volumes of the yeah, it speaks of how you raise them enough for him to have that courage to be like, I want to go out and see what I'm made of. And so I can only hope that my daughter did in two years when she graduates from high school, man, that she'll have that same mentality that, you know, the world is so much bigger because we know how it is, man. We've talked about how we know we've stayed in this bubble, you know, obviously, because not that we haven't had choices, but we've stayed in it because of our family. We've stayed in it because.
A.C. Cristales (:Family life circumstances, but there's something freeing about going for it, man. There's something like liberating about I'm going to go for it, man. Yeah, it's kind of that that old adage quote that I've heard shoot for the moon. Yeah. And if you miss what it's better than the alternative of living with the doubt. Yeah, dude. So anyways, man, that's resonated with me because again, I want to do things for myself. You know, I want to do things.
because I think about, in two years my life changes, you know, I'm not gonna have the responsibility. I'm always gonna be a father, right? But not the responsibility that I have now, you know, now she's gonna be on her own. So where does my life go? You know, so I gotta start thinking about that. But then the second part is as a father, like, I don't want my daughter to do things for me. I want her to do things for herself. So that really stood out for me because I wanna have that talk with her. In fact, I wanna be like, you're Isabella fucking Kristallis, you know what I'm saying? Go out there and do your thing, you know, so.
Anyways, which is going to lead into this best quote or dialogue exchange. I put your Miguel fucking Diaz. That's my what you got. I put that's how fights go. That's how life goes. That is psycho. That is good. Yeah. We're going your Miguel fucking Diaz because it was a badass story that it was. All right, man. I like this one because it puts us in the seat. It puts us in that chair done differently. Back to the writer's room. If you're the writer of the show, how would you what would you do differently? I'm going to go on.
the fights and I just I just wish that Zara and Tori and we've talked about this throughout this episode with Zara and Tori's fight would have had a little more back and forth. Yes. And I wish Axel didn't hold back. I would have liked for Axel to go all out and be the killer that wolf and and. Yeah, it's like you but Miguel still wins though. Yeah, Miguel, we still want to go to win, but we want to be the best. Right. It's kind of like.
guess, Yamal, right? 17 years old. He's been trained like this little kid, right? Yeah, he was anointed by Messi, right? This kid is freaking amazing as a 17 year old, you know, soccer player for Spain, right? We that's we want. Like we don't want him to hold back. Yeah. So same thing with Axel. I wouldn't want him to hold back. I'd be the best and so Miguel can say I beat the best right. I have the same thing, dude. I didn't have to put Miguel but I did have Torre Zara fight better. But I do agree with you. Yeah, I wish Axel did not hold back.
A.C. Cristales (:All right, man, CK three top three characters from this episode. I'm going to put Miguel and Johnny for sure. Oh, I'm going to add Tori, but I'm also going to add Wolf isn't on every minute. Yeah. Just the intensity he brought and you brought up some way valid points. I like what you said that he did his homework. He's scouting. All right, man, you swayed me because I had Johnny Miguel for sure. And then I had Daniel.
I Daniel, was, I guess I felt bad because I always rag on Daniel, but yeah, let's give it to Wolf. Wolf is bringing his scout game going on. All right, brother, all Valley trophies, what you going with, Man, you know what, as we are sitting here chatting about it and, you know, just adding context to our thoughts and stuff, I'm going to have to lower my rating a little bit, Tell the people what they had because I can see it, but they can't Yeah, I had a 4.75, but.
Too high. I'm going to go 4.25. Me too. That's what I mean, it's good because it's the penultimate episode, right? So the one right before the end. Miguel got his victory. Tor got her victory. But there's a lot of flaws in this episode. Yeah. Right. A lot of flaws in this episode. But yeah, man. 4.25 for me as well. But then again, it goes back to the big three have the
difficult task of trying to fit all this in 15 episodes, trying to close it out, right? You know what I'm saying? But some of the things, you know, you can, the fights could have been a little bit longer. Okay. You cut out MIT. Those, those you cut that out because they've been, they've been, they haven't been important in this, these last five episodes. Take that out. That's 90 seconds. So you can give Tori to fight.
What else could you have taken out? What else? What other fact could you have trend, right? You want the best part of the meat, the best part of the brisket. What other fact could you have trimmed off? Seriously think about it. Let's talk about that. So that MIT, you take that out and take that out. Let me see. can shorten the intro a little bit, but remember when they're driving through and see, no, I mean, I like the scene, but you could maybe make it little bit. Okay. Take that out and just have them go to the, have them go to the, training. Let's see. like the train. like this train. No, no. Cut the.
A.C. Cristales (:cut the driving thing and then and just go to they're in the dojo. Yeah, they were at the dojo. OK, those are suggestions, by the way. Because you're right, dude. Like and then the end that could have been fixed to the ending if you really wanted to leave as a cliffhanger, have them fight images those like the sopranos and just go space. It fades to black and we don't know nothing. Oh, yeah. And then the next episode, it opens with a fire and you see like
the water police and they're picking up bodies and a body bag and a body bag. You know, maybe we could also remove the silver and Daniel scene, you know, and they're kind of that was kind of like to. Yeah, we could if we if we really get down to the nitty gritty. But the final scene, I think was written that I didn't like it. Yeah, very cheesy. No mercy. That was just yeah, couldn't have better. All right, man. That's it. We got one left. One left, man. We're going to do we're going to do the 80s.
we can't you know raised by the 80s born in the 80s but born and raised by the 80s yeah we may do a podcast where we bring down some 80s movies and yeah we'll see we'll see what we're planning but we got one left one one more one more one more so again just want to thank you guys for giving us the opportunity to be part of this co-workout community for sticking with us again there are people who have

A.C. Cristales (:Okay.
